Meet Valery

After many years of studying traditional treatment modalities and working with thousands of clients and professional sports organisations, Valery felt there was something missing to create permanent change.  So, using her knowledge and experience, Valery developed Functional Alignment Therapy.

The principle behind it is release and relearn. In order to create long-lasting change, instead of just focusing on a specific area of pain or restriction, Valery addresses how that area functions within the whole system. Once the actual cause is identified through detailed and proper assessment, targeted tissue manipulation is introduced, followed by corrective exercise, to promote lasting change to the system.

Valery’s aim is to help people find freedom in their bodies so they are free to live up to their full potential. As well as working in-house at Tolman Wellness Centre, Valery offers long sessions, in-depth treatment plans, group classes, and workshops. True change doesn’t happen overnight, and Valery encourages ongoing support throughout your health journey, as lasting wellbeing is not a quick-fix solution, but a commitment to ongoing care.

Valery endeavours to understand the needs of each individual and will find the most appropriate solution, which means she can collaborate with or refer you to trusted health professionals she feels would benefit your health if they fall out of the scope of her practice.
